The Sugarloaf mountain to the right; the Calary Lake Quarry to the left. Permission has been granted to infill this and turn it into grasslands, though it is being opposed. I like the balance between the lake and the mountain-top here.
The Peace Bridge in Derry (for reasons of linguistic efficiency) quite literally bridges between the famous "two communities" in Northern Ireland. This view was taken early in the new year, when there was so little light the exposure had to be kept open continually in order to capture the bridge at all. This turned the passers-by into ghost-like entities, walking across though barely seen.
A ruined train viaduct of an abandoned train line in Co. Donegal, this isolated and beautiful site was the location of a major accident with a number of fatalities in the 1920s when high winds literally blew the train off into the valley below.
