The Writing on the Wall

I like the shot because of the positioning of the light, the shadow, the small number of items in the room, and the general simplicity of the scene.

The Tree Musketeers

Yosemite as a state park is almost without parallel elsewhere in the world. But it's very well known -- it's difficult to get a shot of something entirely new, or even a shot of something old with a significantly different treatment. On this visit, I had amazing luck, and (as well as a few other shots in this collection) managed to get one of sunset behind some trees. To me they almost seemed to be belligerent sentinels rather than trees, but I enjoyed the structure of the picture either way.

Taft Point Wedding
